The end.....pregnancy

So here I am 37 weeks pregnant and all I can think is how over being pregnant I am. After dropping Austin off at school this morning and driving home it dawned on me that I should be trying to enjoy these last few weeks as much as possible. After all this might be the last time I am ever pregnant and the thought of that makes me sad. I will be the first to admit that this has not been the easiest pregnancy on me or that I enjoyed it like I should. Being pregnant is such an amazing gift-one that not so long ago I thought I would never experience for the first time much less for a second time. However, god has granted me this amazing gift once again.

I am very lucky to have an amazing support system around me of people that would do just about anything for me. It has truly helped me thru this pregnancy. My hubby has been so amazing trying to pick up the slack around the house and help me get everything done.

However, it has been really hard on me trying to take it easy and not go crazy "nesting". I must say that I have done some but no where near what I want to have done. After coming home this morning and starting on my to-do list I realize that that stuff really doesn't matter. So from now until the end of my pregnancy I am going to take advantage of everyone telling me to "relax & take it easy". After all once Hudson arrives its back to the real world. So I am going to put my feet up and relax and not stress about everything else. I am also going to take this time to enjoy Austin as much as possible and spoil him with my undivided attention-I know its going to be hard on him when Hudson comes home and the house doesn't revolve around just Austin anymore.

The finished product_ Hudson's Nursery

Above are some photos of Hudson's nursery now that it is almost complete. We have a few finishing touches but for the most part it is all done. We are very happy with the finished product. We wanted something that was modern but also not too grown up for my little guy.

Big boy in a big boy bed

One day last week Austin discovered he could climb out of his crib. Sat. night we switched his crib over to his toddler bed and needless to say he loves it. He did great the first few nights and has stayed in his bed like a good boy. Nap times have been a little tougher but not bad. It takes him a little longer now to fall asleep at nap time and some times he will push it to see if he can get away with getting out of bed. We have the video baby monitors so all I have to do is yell upstairs to him that he is suppose to be in bed and he jumps right back in. He is such a mess.

27 months old-Austin

27 Months Old
OK, I know this photo has already been used in a recent posting but its one of the most recent photos I have of my little man. I cant believe Austin is already 27 months old. I am a little behind on posting each month for him but I figure its better to start late than never. So look forward to a monthly posting about everything that Austin (and Hudson when he arrives) accomplishes, learns or does that is super cute. So on with what is new with our little guy.

Weight: 27 lbs

Health: over all we had a healthy month until the very end, just this week he came down with a case of Bronchitis

Words: "waddy"=water, frog (he has recently really expanded his vocabulary so its hard to put them all down

Sayings: "seriously mommy", he has become very voicetrous with the dogs and telling them "dogie out or come dogie"

Cute happenings: he has started trying to walk Chloe with her leash on around the house, he loves his babies (Elmo, Clifford and his Frog) we usually have at least one of them with us at all times. The other day he was showing his babies the "waddy" outside (it was raining).

Toys: he loves anything to do with transportation but especially his matchbox cars, he also loves coloring both on his easel and coloring books. He is getting very good at throwing and kicking balls around. He has started taking an interest in his little people again-they can usually be found flying his airplane or driving the firetruck- he will line them all up and let them play.

Other: 1/20/10 he climbed out of his crib for the first time during nap time. He is very good about holding your hand in a parking lot or walking in a store. He loves exploring and learning new things right now. Austin loves to show off and be the center of attention, he will get this look on his face and watch out cause hes about to be crazy. He is not sure what to think about Mommy's growing belly-he will pull my shirt down to make sure its covered, he will give his brother high five, try to feed him thru my belly button and recently discovered that he can feel him moving.

I am sure that I am forgetting some things but this will do for now.

35 1/2 week update

I was wanting to post photos with this post but since I know that will probably not happen I decided to go ahead and update everyone on baby Hudson (besides I can always come back and add the pics right?).

I had my Dr's appt. yesterday and for the most part everything is going good. Hudson's heart beat was a strong 150 and I am measuring a week and a half big. However, I actually had lost weight again between my appts. which brings my grand total of weight gain to only 9 lbs. I know that sounds great right~but when the baby should be around 6 lbs or so the numbers don't quite add up. My Dr. was not overly concerned since my stomach is still growing which means Hudson is still growing. I also showed her my 3d ultrasound I had done and the fact that almost a month ago he was at 5.4 lbs and was measuring in places anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks big. So needless to say we are having another ultrasound at the Dr's office next Friday just to make sure that everything is good and that they are on the right track with my due date. The Dr. said they could be anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks off based on the info she had seen but she felt more like it would just be a week or two off. I hope that's all because I will be 36 weeks this Friday which means that if they were four weeks off I would be 40 weeks.

So, I have been trying to rest as much as possible while also trying to get everything ready and in order as much as possible for Hudson's arrival. This morning I ventured into our attic to get the car seat down and a few other items that had not been brought down yet. Brad is about to have a heart attack at the fact I went up there with no one home. But its done now and everyone is safe and sound. I have all of Hudson's clothes washed and hung up or put away. Today I am trying to wash the covers to the car seat, baby swing, bouncy and anything else that has been stored away. This weekend I am going to try and get Brad to help me put the finishing touches on the nursery so I can post photos. It just needs the shelves hung on the wall and some stuff moved around a little.

I will try to post some photos on here of both my belly and the nursery since everyone has been asking to see them both. Hopefully it wont be too long until I will be posting photos of our sweet new baby Hudson.

Resolutions update

Well the month of January is now half over so its time to look at how good I have been about working on my resolutions. I feel I have done a decent job of sticking to them as good as I can being 36 weeks pregnant.

- I have tried to go thru the house and some what go thru things in the closets and cabinets. There is still much more to be done but at least I have made a start.

-I have gone back to the flylady website and read some of her articles and printed some of them and tried to set up a cleaning plan for our house. However, Brad has put his foot down on this one and will not let me do to much until Hudson arrives. Which I cant complain about-its not too often that your husband says go lay down I will do the laundry.

-Budget- We have really been trying not to spend money unnecessarily but with the baby coming we have been having to buy some extra things. But I must admit that we have really done good about not eating out so much which has been a problem for us in the past.

-Me Time- Brad got me a new blackberry for Christmas so I have found myself just lounging around the house playing games or trying to figure the new phone out. I know it doesn't sound that exciting but at least its something just for me.

Well that's all I have for now, I know that once Hudson arrives our house and lives will be turned upside down for a little while as we try to adjust to having 2 kids, but in the end I know we will find our groove and get it all done and hopefully have a little fun at the same time.

3d ultrasound in Dec of baby Hudson

After Christmas Brad and I were in Franklin Tn which is where our 3D ultrasound place is and he decided to surprise me and take me for an ultrasound. It was so great to be able to see our little man doing his thing in there. They est. his weight to be at 5.5 lbs so it looks like he might be quite the big boy. During the ultrasound we were able to see Hudson moving around a little and moving his little chubby hands and even opening and closing his mouth. It was great. When we had our 1st 3D ultrasound we thought that Hudson was going to look totally different that Austin but based off of the two photos before it looks like they might look more a like than we thought.

Already playing the big brother

Over the last few weeks we have been putting together all of the stuff for Hudson and pulling the baby stuff out of the attic. Well, Austin wants to make sure that everything is in tip top shape for his baby brother. He has been testing each item out time and time again.

Austin will disappear on me and can usually be found in Hudson's room testing out the bouncy seat. He loves it and all the noises it makes.

As you can see below he also had to inspect the bedding to make sure he approved & knew "whats that" or what each animal was.
He also goes MIA and can be found in the bouncy with a snack and all of his toy cars.
But the best thing was when he wanted into the baby swing when Brad finished putting it together. He loved it- he would pump his legs and everything to make it swing.
There is no doubt that Austin is going to be a proud big brother. When we have people over who want to see the nursery we can say "Austin can you go show them baby brothers room?" and he will run to the room and throw open the door with a huge proud smile on his little face.

Christmas Morning- Santa has landed

We started off Christmas morning with Grandma & Grandpa Robison cooking up waffles & English egg mcmuffins. This year they decided to come over and cook for us all before we actually did Christmas morning which was good because Austin decided to sleep in. Once everyone was full we all made our way upstairs to the bonus room to see what Santa had left for Austin. All I can say is Austin must have told Santa he was a good boy this year because it looks like Santa unloaded his sled at our house.

Austin got a nice art easel, wooden tool bench with tools, books, cars, movies, clothes, art supplies and lots of other fun stuff.

He loved the tool bench. Grandma-ma & Papa must have talked to Santa because they got him a cute tool set that has a hard hat, tool belt and power tools with it.
Austin loved his wooden fire truck and all his new match box cars. Honestly his favorite toy was probably the matchbox cars.
Showing off his new toys
That looks like one happy boy to me.
Christmas was so much fun this year, Austin was at a great age (26 months) and was really into everything. We also we blessed to have both sets of Austin's grandparents with us on Christmas morning to join the fun. It took a while to put everything up and try to make it all have a home but now Austin just loves playing in his playroom with all his new stuff. Next year Austin will be a little older and really be anticipating Santa and we will have Baby Hudson to join us in the fun as well.

Christmas with The Brumbalow's

We saved decorating cookies with Austin until Grandma-ma & Papa arrived so they could have some fun too. Austin was very excited with the sprinkles and wanted to put them everywhere. He also was the official cookie tester, I think he tried each one of the cookies. We made a big mess but had lots of fun.

Brad & I trying to help control the situation-doesn't look like we did too good of a job.

Grandma-ma & Papa came up for Christmas a few days early and we all did a little last min. shopping together.
Below is a photo of my little brother Bailey. He is such a cute dog & always has to be a part of everything.

Christmas at The Robison's

We celebrated Christmas with Brad's family on Christmas Eve with a nice yummy dinner and fun times with the family. It was so cute to see the little guys (Austin & Caelex) playing together and opening there gifts. The kids really had fun with everything this year.

Below you can see the boys with there reindeer hats on being silly.
Austin waiting on everyone to arrive
Brad's Mom does the best stockings each year. There is no telling what you will get in them. This year Brad got a nice new hair style-his brother Brett also got one but I didnt get a good picture of the two of them modeling them.
Below is Brad & I dont we look so in love.....
Grandma & Grandpa with Austin. I love how we always end up with great photos of our son and his Grandparents at all the events but some how we never end up with good ones with Brad, Austin & I.
