Clean in no time

Hudson was just washing his hands and he says to me "my hands will be clean in no time, Mommy".
This boy loves washing his little hands.

Puppy Love

We love our puppies!  Since we have had the boys the dogs don't get as much love from us as they used to.  However, now its not just us that show them love, the boys love Bernie and Chloe so much!  Last night while they were playing good guys/bad guys the dogs even got to play.  Bernie was a good dog and Chloe was a bad dog because she threw bombs.
Chloe loves laying on our sofa in the family room.  Some times she even gets covered up on the really cold nights.
Some nights I will even put Bernie up on the sofa too for bed.
Bernie and Chloe are best buddies!
Bernie does not get to go on as many car rides as he used to.  Lets face it, most days I do good to keep up with the boys when we are out-the last thing I need is something furry to keep up with.  Bernie went to the doggie spa this month and got a nice bubble bath and a hair cut-doesn't he look so cute. He loved riding in the back seat between the boys (I am sure it had nothing to do with the endless treasures of old snacks he probably found between the car seats).

Snow Day

Austin woke up this morning and looked outside his window and was very excited.  I hear him start yelling down the stairs "Mommy, Mommy I have some news!  So very good good news!  It SNOWED all night long!"
Once it was daylight outside we bundled up and got ready to head out to play.  It only took us about 20 mins. to get all of our layers on.

The boys made some snow angels
And they tested out their driving skills in the snow and ice on the drive way and yard

We tried to make snow balls and a snowman but the snow was too fluffy to stick together.
After playing for about 45 mins we headed inside to warm up with some yummy hot chocolate.

"Oh, Dear" Playtime

Tonight the boys have been playing really well together and not fighting.  The boys have really been showing a lot of interest in their play-mobile toys.  They received a police station for Christmas which provides them with all the fun their little imaginations can come up with.

One of Austin's men got hurt and needed a ride to the hospital.  Hudson quickly jumped up and ran from the playroom to his room and grabbed his army truck and said "I can take you".  They loaded the man up and off they went to the hospital with the man.  Along the way Hudson had an accident with the truck to which he says "Oh, dear...".  Then Austin from the other room yells as if cheering him on"Don't give up, your almost there".

After Austin's man was fixed up at the hospital he tried to thank Hudson and his men by saying "would you like to come in for some tea?".

As I sit and listen to them play together each day I am amazed by the things they each say.

We're Back.....

After a nice long break from our family blog I have decided to try and start posting about our families happenings.  So below you will find some photos of the fun we had the first week of 2013!

Brad tried his hand at making some smoothies for us in an effort to be more healthy this year.  At first I was a little skeptical about it-did he really think the boys were going to drink something with a cup of spinach in it?. After taking one sip of it my self I knew the answer was yes.  Above Austin is demonstrating how his smoothie (a.k.a Hulk Juice since his had to be green (his favorite color)) is making him strong!
On my first day of playing the part of super mom this year I took the boys to the grocery store by my self (this was after Brad had been off for 2 1/2 weeks with us).  I love Publixs and the boys just love their shopping carts and free kids cookies.
Austin and Hudson both received new LeapPads for Christmas and they love them.  I have to admit that these little mini computers really come in handy with entertaining the kids.  Above we were at a doctors appointment and the boys were very entertained while we waited.
Every day during Hudson's nap time I try to have a little one on one time with Austin.  He ask almost every day during this time "Can we do something fun, like make soap, but something different?".  So here you can see him helping me paint some wooden hearts for an upcoming Valentines Day craft I am working on.
We are still working on trying to get back into the swing of a schedule again after the boys being out of school and Daddy being home from work.  We were all lucky and were eased into it this week-Brad only had 3 full days of work and the boys only had school 1 day, which worked out very well for all of us.
We have been very busy in the last 2 weeks while Brad was home from work doing some home projects which I will post about later.

Grave Digger

The boys had their first day back at school today and as a little treat after school I took the boys to see Grave Digger.  The Monster Truck show is going to be in Nashville this weekend so a local store had Grave Digger on display for the afternoon.
Austin received a Grave Digger remote control Traxxs car for Christmas so he was very excited about the adventure.
Heading in to get a better view

The boys look so small next to this big tire.
Austin wanted to know how they got the truck there?  I tried explaining to him that they transported the truck in a Mack truck (which he was able to see while we were there) and that they probably had the truck drive out of the Mack's trailer and onto the grass.  He wanted to know how it got onto the curb?  Hello, it can crush cars the curb is no issue. Its so funny how their little minds work.  I couldn't help but think about sitting at a red light and this huge monster truck pulling up beside me.
This is the best photo I was able to get of the boys while we were there (and I did good to get this one).  Thankfully "Ama" (Grandma) met us there and helped me keep track of these two little guys.  The next day I found out that the driver of the truck was inside the store signing autographs and selling stuff.  I was really bummed that we left with out knowing that.  Next year we will be ready!

Diaper Man

It amazes me some of the things my children come up with all on there own.
They have been having fun today unloading all of Hudson's diapers (clean of course) and throwing them around in the playroom.  Austin decided that they would call themselves "Diaper Man" and should wear the diapers on there heads.
They were so funny running around like this.  They managed to keep themselves and mommy entertained for a while like this.
