We woke up this morning to a rainy day. Austin told us that he wanted an umbrella and his rain boots so he could play in the rain. After a quick hesitation I decided that he and I would go out and play in the rain. We had problems finding puddles to jump in though, but we tried.
I was discovered one of the true meaning of being a mommy of boys and picked up this long worm when Austin wouldn't but he still wanted to put him in the bug house. Oh, the things we do for our kids. I tell you I am pretty sure this worm was on the verge of being a snake-look how long it was.
As I said before we had problems finding puddles for my little guy to jump in so we had to be creative. We discovered that the drain under the down spout of the gutters had some what of a puddle. So Austin jumped up and down on here and seemed to be happy.
We then moved on to driving his tricycle around in the rain-but he had to have the umbrella.
Over all we were outside for about 30 mins. and we both had fun. I found myself walking around in the rain in shorts a tee shirt and flip flops without an umbrella helping my little man find worms and puddles.
My little man had too much fun the other day eating a cupcake. He doesn't get things this sweet too often~but he knew just what to do with it. He had icing all over his face when he was done.
Look at his crazy hair here. He's all kicked back and enjoying the ride! Now that it is getting to be Summer Little A loves to play outside. However, it gets soooooo hot here during the day and the humidity is killer. So we have to time it just right. We get morning sun in our front yard and afternoon sun in the back. Most days we play in our driveway or front lawn for a while in the afternoon since there is so much shade there during this time. Austin loves running around and pushing all of his toys around.
Little A has recently discovered that his highchair can be used as a toy since it will move. He loves pushing it around our entire downstairs. Its like his own personal race track! He is very careful not to run into anything. He has so much fun doing this and screams with happiness.
I married the love of my life in June 2004. After living outside of Atlanta my whole life we packed up and moved to Nashville for my hubbys job. Three years later we welcomed first son Austin(Oct. 2007). Two years after that we welcomed our second son Hudson (Feb. 2010). After getting married and having two sons I can say I have traded in my girly girl ways. I am now offically a coupon clipping, deal seeking, suv driving, poney tail wearing, diaper changing, snot wiping Mommy and I couldnt love it more.
