Going to be a crazy day...

I can tell its going to be a long crazy day. Let me tell you about it so far. I woke up around 4 am with my back killing me. I can hardly bend over. Not sure whats up there. So i got up and got on the computer for a while looking at stuff for "Snips & Snails" and had some nice quiet time. Chloe decided to join me upstairs. So I gave her a bone, which she is only allowed to have when she is laying on her blanket. Of course she wouldn't stay on the blanket so I had to take it away and she wasn't too happy. Then after Brad got up for work he discovered Chloe had thrown up in our carpet sometime during the night. So I cleaned that up. Then he left for work. Austin got up around 7am and was all smiles. So we went down for breakfast. I let the dogs outside to play while we ate. Well I guess Chloe decided to do a little yard work while she was outside (a.k.a. digging in the dirt). So when she came in she tracked it all over the house. So I went to get a rag and start cleaning the mess up as well as get the rest of the mud off of Chloe. Austin started screaming in his highchair. For some reason the last few days he does this if I leave his sight. So after getting mess cleaned up and Austin happy. Chloe comes and stick her face on my shirt, which happens to be my last clean shirt that fits that is presentable to wear out of the house. Apparently I didn't get all the mud off of her-it was still on her face~or it was. Now its on my shirt. Today is laundry day.
But i am determined not to let it stress me today. All I have to do is look at my little mans smiling face and it makes it all disappear.

Wagon fun in the sun!

This afternoon Grandma Debbie came over for a play date with Austin and I. We decided to take advantage of the nice weather (it wasnt too hot, and there was a nice breeze in the shade). So we took Austin outside and played on a blanket for a while and then came the real fun. Austin enjoyed his first ride in his wagon. We took his monkey friend along for the ride. Austin seemed to love it. I can see many more afternoons of fun like this in our future.

outside fun

So I am really trying to get back into updating our blog and keeping everyone informed about our lives. Its also fun. So here is another post for today. After Brad got home from work tonight we went out side to grill some dinner. We tried to put Austin in his wagon but it was dirty so we just played in the grass. Austin is really inquizitive about these type things. Here are some pictures I took while we were out there. I think some of them turned out pretty good.

Big Date: Playdate, downstairs fun and another tooth coming in.....

So we had a big day today. This morning Austin and I tried to meet some friends @ the Y for a workout. Well Austin was having no part of daycare this morning (yesterday we got kicked out~well Austin got us kicked out because he was a fussy pants). So we went over to Heather's house for a nice long walk. Afterwards, we all stopped by Jenn's house and had a nice play date. It was nice for Austin and Gavin to both be awake at the same time (normally one of them is always asleep while we are together). After that we came home. I discovered Austin has his 5th tooth coming thru (the top tooth to the right of his front tooth). They are coming in so fast.

This afternoon Austin had a big time crawling around downstairs. Normally we just play upstairs. Here are a few pictures from his fun time this afternoon.

9/5/08 Helpping mommy cut coupons

So on Friday I thought I could try to cut coupons while Austin was playing. As you can see he really wanted to help me. He kept crawling off with all the paper.

Stress..

So after a weekend with the two men in my life, I find myself feeling stressed. Austin is truly into everything these days. I really think he might be part monkey (maybe because of his love for trying to climb on anything and everything or maybe it because he tries to walk around on all 4's- yes on his hands and feet with his cute little bum in the air). We had our first trip to the ER week before last because he feel into his bookcase. This weekend he has decided not to really take naps. I am hoping it's just a weekend thing because daddy is home. I work from home so he has to nap. Otherwise I am not really sure how I am going to get anything accomplished. Also, my job is picking up even more, of course I willingly said ok to more work but I don't think I really thought it thru. Austin is on the path to walking soon and if this no nap thing is more than just a weekend situation I am in big trouble. I have also really wanted to try and start my own business doing something creative. Many people have told me to go into organization since I am a freak about that, others say maybe party planning after hearing about the plans I have for Austin's 1st birthday, but after creating my son's first birthday invitation I think it might be something I am interested in. I am not sure how much money would really be in it. And Lord knows I am not sure where I will find the time, but its something I am thinking about looking into. Only time will tell.
But back to the stress. For those of you who stay at home you know where I am coming from. Its hard work being a mommy and if you try to throw working from home into the mix its even more stressful. But I just remind myself that its so worth it to spend all day with my Amazing son. As crazy as he may be some time. He is truly the love of my life. So I know this has been a rambling, but I truly feel blessed for the things in my life. I have a great husband (even though some times he might be a pain), the most amazing son ( in my eyes) and 2 crazy dogs. As John & Kate Plus 8 might say "It might be a crazy life, but its our life".

new pictures taken August 19th, 2008

Here are some newer pictures I have taken of Austin. He loves to look out the back doors and bang on them when Chloe and Bernie are outside. The picture of him standing at the window is in his room, I caught him pulling up on the window and teething on it one day.

9 month photos

These are some of the photos from Austin's 9 month photo session. We use Frogs & Faeries for our photos and we couldnt be happier. Heather (the photographer) does a great job. You can check out her blog here: http://frogsandfaeriesphotography.blogspot.com/

Swim Lesons

These are some of the photos from Austin's swim lessons. He was the littlest guy in the class, but he did so good.
