New hat

Austin has recently really taken an intrust in trying to dress himself. This is how that is going.

We got Austin a new hat for the winter that would help cover his ears when the wind is blowing. We found this super cute hat at The children's place and he seems to really like it. Once he puts the hat on he doesn't want to take it off. On this day he decided that he wanted to put it on right after his bath but he was not wanting to put anything else on but the hat, we finally got a diaper on him so he played like this for a while.

Robison Thanksgiving

Here are a few photos from Thanksgiving Day at Grandma & Grandpa's house. When we arrive Grandma had the dinning room all set up so pretty for dinner & even Austin got to sit at the big person table. Of course Grandma had to make him a special seat & place setting for her boy, it was so cute. We had so much yummy food and enjoyed hanging out with the family. Austin worked on learning how to play the drums with Cameron and had fun visiting with Aunt Robbin & Uncle Brett.

Baby #2 update

Time to update everyone on baby #2's progress so far: as of this Friday 11/27/09 I will be 27 weeks pregnant. We still have not decided on a name for our new bundle of joy yet: but have narrowed it down to possibly Trevor or Hudson. At my 25 week Dr's appt. I had my Glucose test & passed (which I was very happy about since I had to have the 3 hours test with Austin), I had also gained only 9lbs so far which also makes me happy. So things are progressing right on track!
Since Brad has been off all week for Thanksgiving we have started working on the nursery, which we are both so excited about.

Below is the baby bedding we decided on: contemporary yet still enough kid for a baby.
I had a hard time deciding on what color to do the stripe in here, I was leaning towards blue until Laura suggested the brown which turned out perfect.
I wanted a 2 foot stripe which Brad was unsure of so we compromised and added the little stripe on top & bottom (totally Brads idea~which turned out AMAZING)

I am so glad we went with the brown stripe in this room, I think it will really make everything else with the accent colors pop! So far we have just added the green lamp & curtains, but we have lots more ideas for this room. So now its just putting the icing on the cake per say-we just have to decide on all the little finishing touches to really make the room. But we are both so happy with how everything has turned out so far.

Thanksgiving Feast at School 11/23/09

I have been so bad about updating our family blog recently, between being busy keeping up with Austin and it taking so long to upload the photos on here. So I have decided to start updating the blog with the most recent events and then go back and add the older one's as I can, so please bear with me. On to the main event......
Yesterday we attended Austin's Thanksgiving Feast at school, and it was so good. His teacher Mrs. Carmen (who we love) had the kids each make a cute little hat to wear with an Indian and feathers. Much to our surprise Austin actually kept his hat on the whole time (although I think Grandpa would have rather him taken it off considering that Grandpa held Austin during the lunch and ended up with the feathers from the hat in his face the entire time). Austin had quite the guest list for his lunch-Mommy, Daddy, Grandma & Grandpa were all able to attend. Grandma & Grandpa had been wanting to visit Austin's school and see his class so it was the perfect opportunity.
We had taken Austin to the Dr on Monday for a cold that he just couldn't get rid of and they gave us steroids & a inhaler with Albuteral for him. Needless to say the meds. make him very hyper and happy-which we are happy that he is in such a good mood. Austin has really started saying a lot of new things in the last few days such as "I up", "Me down" "my room" and "I out". Its great that he is finally able to communicate a little more with what he wants or how he is feeling- makes it easier on us all.

Planting Mums 9/30/09

I was sure I had come up with the perfect fun little project to do with Austin. Since we are heading into Fall I was ready to plant some Mums for out front. We went to the store and got some pretty Mums to plant (which Austin helped me pick out), we then headed home for a little nap before our planting adventure. There is a new home being built across the street from us & Austin has been very interested in the building and all the processes it is going thru. Well on the afternoon of our Mum project they just had to have a few dump trucks come and drop off dirt. Austin is in love with trucks right now, so of course he could careless about helping me and my wonderful project.

9/29/09 headed to school

Above are a few photos I took one morning before school. Austin had his little lunch box & was ready for school. Of course Bernie needed to inspect the bag to make sure there was some yummy stuff in there for his brother.
