Our new BIG screen TV

The picture below shows how we are watching TV these days at our house. Don't you want to come over for the next big football game and watch it at our house? A few weeks ago Austin and I were watching the big TV in the picture and it made a noise and went off. When I tried to turn it back on the lights were flashing the death code on the front of the TV and it was also making a wonderful hissing noise. So I of course called Brad at work to fix the problem, when he got home he took a look at it and discovered that the bulb had busted AGAIN. The bulb cost around $100 to replace but that didn't explain the hissing noise it was also making. So we discussed ordering the bulb and hoping it fixed the TV or waiting to see what kind of deals there are after Thanksgiving. Well, we couldn't make a decision on what to do but in the meantime we had to do something....... So Brad brought up my TV from the kitchen.

So now I have a 19 inch TV sitting by our big screen. Can you say G-E-T-T-O! But it works and it didn't cost anything and buys us time while we decide what to do.

The boys are too cute laying besides each other watching TV.

Weekly Happenings at school 10/12 & 10/14/10

Austin had a big week this week at MDO after being off last week for Fall Break. On Tuesday he got a great report from Mrs. Carmen and made the bracelet below. It was on another string but it feel apart in the school parking lot as we were getting into the car. Thankfully I was able to find all the beads or at least most of them, and when we got home we got out some ribbon and fixed it right up. Austin wore it around all night and was so proud of his creation.
When I arrived to pick up Austin on Tue. he and Dawson were both already up from there nap (the other kids were still sleeping. There were the partners in crime sitting at the table coloring away. Dawson quickly comes over to me and informs me "we drawing pictures for Mommy". Austin celebrated his Birthday at school on Thur. since they do not have school next Tue.. Mrs. Carmen was so sweet to send home the below little Birthday certificate from the class.

This one is him going crazy about his cupcakes for school.

These are the cupcakes that Austin picked out to take and share with his friends at school.

Each child was asked to bring there favorite book to share with the class Thur. So I let Austin pick out his book (it was between Clifford's Big Itch, Clifford's 1st Halloween and Fox & Pig), he chose The Big Itch.

After sharing there books with the class the kids each made there own books.

Looks like I will have to get Austin to read this one to me.

Overall it was another great week, Austin seemed to have had tons of fun and had lots of stuff to bring home to Mommy!

Week of 9/27-9/31/10

This week at school Austin's class talked about there families-so the photos below are the ones that Austin took with him to share with the class. We were not sent a daily progress report on Tue. 9/28.

Thursday 9/30/10 daily report says that Austin loved sharing his family photos with the class. I can just hear him now "this is mommy, daddy and Bo-Bo (aka Hudson). Grandma-ma and Papa were in town so they went with us for drop off and Papa went with Mommy to pick Austin up from school.

Puppy Love

Hudson has recently got to be around the dogs a little more and he loves them. He just laughs and smiles anytime he is around them.

A visit from Grandma-ma & Papa 9/29/10-10/3/10

Brad had a business trip this week so Grandma-ma and Papa came to help me out with the boys. We had lots of fun while they were here. We found 2 new parks that I did not know about here in town (that have great locations for photos), went treasure troving (aka garage selling). We played outside a lot and enjoyed the wonderful weather. We had a nice family cookout on Sat. to celebrate Grandma-ma and Brad's birthdays. Uncle Dan and Aunt Mary came up and Aunt Pam, Tommy, Aiden and even Jacob got to come over.

Life as we know it is forever changed today.....

Hudson started doing the army crawl today. That means my baby is now mobile! My days are going to be a lot crazier with both the boys moving around.

Happy Birthday Brad & Debbie

Wow, October is crazy with Birthdays in our family. We celebrated Brad's 30th birthday and his moms birthday on Oct.6. We went over to GRandma & Grandpas house for some yummy chicken encheladas (they are a family favorite and it had been way too long since we had them). Debbie also had a taco bar set up-it was all so yummy. She also had 2 wonderful cakes. Austin was quite the little helpper with blowing out the candles (guess he is practicing for his birthday).
After dinner the guys disapeared for a while-once we realized they were missing I ventured upstairs and discovered the rockstars in action. Uncle Brett was teaching Hudson how to play guitar, Brad was killing it to Matalliaca and Austin was rocking out the drums. I think if they keep up practicing we might just have to make them some shirts and take there show on the road.
