Nashville Zoo-Memorial Day

We decided to take the boys to the Nashville Zoo for Memorial Day. We were there when the park first opened, so it wasn't too hot out yet and it was not too crowded. The boys seemed to enjoy the Zoo. Hudson actually stayed awake for quite a while in his stroller just checking everything out. And Austin LOVED it, there were so many things to see and do there. Grandma and Grandpa and Camren went with us too.

Austin was ready to go see the animals and wanted to be a big helper and push his baby brother.

Cannonsburg Village 5/30/10

When we woke up on Sunday morning we decided we needed to find something to do with the boys so that we would not end up spending our day inside again. So we told Austin we would take him to see the Choo-Choo's (he loves trains right now). Well we planed on taking him to what we thought was a little train depot here in town, but once we got there we found a big sign that read "Authorized Vehicles ONLY" we soon realized we were not suppose to be there. But we did get very lucky and as we were leaving a Choo-Choo came (a super long one at that). So we rolled the windows down and made a really big deal about it for Austin. Of, course he didn't know the difference and was just as happy.

Next we went to Cannonsburg Village (a little town set up with old buildings) to walk around. They have an old train car there, so Austin loved that.

Breakfast of Champions

What happens when you let a 2 1/2 year old pick out there own breakfast? You end up with a "well balanced meal" of course. That's just what Austin had this morning, a little bit of everything (aka:balanced). He wanted blueberries "berries", Cheeze-its "cheese-cheese" and popcorn "pop-pop" along with OJ. Normally I pick his breakfast for him or give him a few things to choose from, but usually once a week he gets to choose. I figure as long as he eats something what can it hurt?...

Notice the left over chocolate on the side of his mouth, that's from his morning m&M's (we have started using m&M's as a reward system with him-that's a whole other post).

He seems so happy, so I must have done something right this morning.

And of course I had to include a photo of Hudson. He was such a good boy and slept all night again last night (from 9:15pm-7:45am, that makes for 3 all nighters this week!!!!!
