mall play date

The above pictures are from our moms group mall play date. We have avoided this playground in the mall for so long because we thought it looked too hard. But come to find out it is a soft playground. Austin loved it. We will def. be going to play again.

Special Delivery for Austin

Austin received a package today in the mail. It was a Valentine's Day present from Grandma-ma & Papa (my parents). I let him open it while he was sitting in his highchair. Can you guess which part of the gift was his favorite???? The red paper. We should have known it would be the paper or the box its self.

Austin got a cute hand puppet puppy that sings "why do birds suddenly appear, every time you are near". Grandma-ma said when she heard the song it was the way she felt about Austin.

He loves his new friend!

I don't think I could have posed this photo if I wanted to. How cute, he was showing me his card.

Grandma-ma & Papa said they had to include something for Brad and I too, so we got some yummy chocolate.

Finger Painting fun

In the spitit of Valentines Day Austin and I did a little arts & craft project. I broke out the finger paint-the red of course and we painted. In the past I have tried to finger paint with Austin but he did not like getting it on his hands. But today he seemed to have fun and we got some great art out of it. I will take photos of the artwork and post them later for everyone to see.

Of course he had to taste the paint to make sure it was ok. Good thing it was non-toxic.

Austin's been organizing or re-organizing

Austin and I have been trying to spend more time playing in his room rather than just playing in the bonus room. Austin has discovered all kinds of new things to do in his room. He loves organizing his drawers for me. For anyone that knows me, you know how I am about organizing-right down to our underwear drawers. So you can just imagine how hard it was for me to let Austin do this to his PJ drawer. But in all honesty he is not hurting anything or anyone. He has actually helped me~now I do not bother with folding his pj's before I put them away. That way I don't get upset when he pulls everything out.

But I can say that he does have some of my organizing in his blood. He pulls everything out of the drawer one at a time and then puts it all back in. The same goes with all of his toys. Its a process for him. He pulls them out one at a time and places them in just the right spot on the floor and then he puts them back up one at a time in just the right spot. At least he is putting everything back up.

Austin is trying out a new style.

Austin has been trying to take his shirt off by himself. So far he has not made it completely off with the shirts yet. The other morning I went to get Austin up and this is what I found. Apparently he decided he didn't want to wear his shirt anymore.

I know I have been bad at posting photos since the new year. I promise I have still been taking pictures for everyone., I just have not had time to upload them. I am in the middle of trying to plan a baby shower for one of my good girlfriends she is preggers with her third child and after two boys she is finally having a girl. So you know what that means~I am all about the pink. I also got work today that my job is fixing to get crazy again for the next month or so-maybe longer. Which is good and bad. Good that I have job security-bad that I will be crazy busy. So in the next few days I am going to try and buckle down around the house and get things in order so that everything will run better while I am crazy, I am also going to kick it into over drive this weekend with the shower planning and try and get some stuff knocked out since I will not have as much time to work on it in the next few weeks. So please forgive me if I am not posting as much as I would like to.

Here are a few updates on my little man

He got his 1st hair cut after new years-yes I have photos and he did soooo good.

He has started taking 3-5 steps at a time. He still has not taken off walking but he is getting there.

He has become quite the dare devil. Grandma-ma & Papa got him a Power Wheel 4 wheeler for Christmas and he thinks that he must stand up on the seat while its going. I swear I am going to get gray hair soon. Grandma & Grandpa Robison got him a Kangaroo Climber for Christmas which Austin seems to only want to climb UP the slide and then slide down head first.

Austin also has a new pair of sun glasses that he loves to wear. He takes on a whole new personality with them on which is too funny. I have photos & a video of it.

I promise to try and upload some photos really soon for everyone.
